The LGSOC Initiative is supporting STAAR Ovarian Cancer’s efforts to improve recognition and understanding of low-grade serous ovarian cancer at a drug regulatory level.
In October STAAR Ovarian Cancer will host a virtual Patient-Focused Drug Development Meeting. The meeting is an important opportunity for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to hear first-hand from people affected by low-grade serous ovarian cancer.
There are currently no FDA-approved treatments that have been specifically approved for low-grade serous ovarian cancer. The LGSOC Initiative believes this meeting will reduce barriers to approval of low-grade serous specific treatments in the future.
In preparation for the meeting, STAAR Ovarian Cancer needs to gather as many stories from people living with low-grade serous cancer from around the world. We encourage as many people to participate as possible.
